Th3 futur3 w3 w0rry 4b0ut

What do we worry about? This is different for everyone and it depends on your situation. For alot of people it's making the next paycheck or whenever the next bills will be dropped at the door. Maybe it's having to decide between groceries or gas this week. My prayers go out to everyone who is struggling out there! However, i wanted to discuss about a different kind of worry. The ones we create ourselves.  

                       
Anxiety, self induced panic. Everyone experiences it. You can worry about anything as long as it's important enough to you. Today i had a rather unpleasant experience. Dealing with someone worried about something that hasn't happened yet. How do you deal with that? I told him that everything he mentioned are all "what if" Scenarios. He bases his predictions on bad experiences he's had in the past I'm sure. Yet he kept insisting on it. "THAT THIS HAS TO HAPPEN BECAUSE IT ALWAYS HAPPENS." Is what he said. I thought that was so weird. Because i understand exactly what he feels. It's that constant fear of rejection. The feeling of being disliked or hated by your peers over the course of many years can really mess with your reality and the way you are able to handle social situations.  

               

In these situations, wether you are that person or dealing with someone in such a position, self awareness is key. Knowing that you have a problem with trying to predict things and predicting them in a negative way is already gonna help you plenty. Sometimes this can be really hard. You may strongly believe that whatever your thinking is the truth, that this will happen. That no matter what you will be rejected, shamed, bullied, hated, whatever else. You really start assuming the worst even when nothing has happened yet. No matter what people tell you, no matter what has or hasn't happened you feel the need to defend your believes. Anything else feels like accepting defeat. Going against your believes and standpoints. The way you view your social life is now being challenged. Please....It's okay to let go and accept that things are good sometimes. I know... as someone who preaches hopelesness and despair all the time it sound a little two faced but trust me. 

            

I believe in you and i trust that you can let go. Sometimes, letting go of your worries can make space for something good. Things may look scary or feel uncomfortable. Good things happening to you feel foreign because you are so used to it always being something awfull. But trust me, you will know when you stumbled upon something truly good. When that happens, don't shut it out just yet. Test the waters and try allowing yourself to feel its warmth. Sometimes it can lead to something good and sometimes it may lead you deeper into the abyss. When that happens, do not despair just yet. Breathe in and out. Let go and start again.
