hey friendsz, happy weekend. sure got to this one in a hurry. i had coffee, got baked a couple of times and made spaghetti for lunch. sweet lady friend might come stay tonight. getting chilly here, had to start the furnace. anyway, if you read my
'been around the block', what makes getting blocked on a site this new leads to a lot of testing. i'm constantly testing, everything i do is a test. either there is success or there isn't, no guarantees. well, we know logging out cancels any block related filtration on publicly viewable pages. the block issued by the blocking user does such a good job of hiding them from you, that you can't even see their profile comments, and your own comments on their blogs until you're logged out. once you're logged out, there is no delete button. user b's profile comment and comments on my blogs still show when i am in a position where i cannot utilize the delete button, and i am unable to delete my comments from theirs. edit: all deleting of comments is now worked into the page coding with a fancy pop-up dialog. previously, deleting comments went to a deletecomment.php page. i attempted to re-use a deletecomment.php and assigned the number of one of the incriminating comments. somehow it redirected me to a completely unrelated and senseless blog post. /edit. i did, indeed block back for a few minutes to see if some back posts would automatically remove, they did not. wow. defect has done so much for us already, that i hate like hell to want to bother him for anything that isn't absolutely necessary. but i sure would love to delete those comments, both user b's and mine. it'd be so amazing if there was a way to do it in one fell swoop. back on the hey, you could at least still see the blockee enough to get their stains off of you..lol. and it did make any dm conversation with them completely vanish. since user b decided he didn't want me to exist in his world, i'd really prefer to not show any past association with the individual in mine. and i wouldn't want anyone to see i was once in his. like i said - if you're going to be gone, be
well gone. completely gone. erased from history. 404 not found! enough block testing. new and better friends always come along. thanks for the add, mutant. so how in the h e double hockey sticks do i make this crazy page of mine mobile friendly, without taking any desktop pizazz away? i tried all morning and did not succeed. i could choose one or the other, so i went with desktopping it. i spent a few hours hunting for a way to rescale the background video size to a mobile shape, thinking some of the top and bottom would get cropped off automatically on the desktop. nope..skinny stupid tall rectangular centered background. tried to adjust the iframe video display dimensions. nope, try again. maybe someday when there's more time or i feel half way inspired enough. so i didn't make it to the creation of my next background slideshow that i plan to do with my own personal photographs, a whole shit ton of organizing and a project for another day. but when i finally get around to it, it will just make it that much more uniquely mine. i already see it in my head, but i need it to appear for all the rewinders to see. i didn't like that other pfp as much so i reverted and upgraded my method. still frame image sitewide. i found the working code snippet that puts my blinker back on my page, and in a post if i so choose. i didn't catch who it was that figured out how to do it here after i first tried it, big thanks whoever you are. enjoy what's left of the weekend, rewind! have a freaking blast.
