How FriendRewind limits contact between adults and users under 18.
Restricted Contact
These rules apply only when one person is 18 or older and the other is under 18. Friend requests and direct messages between two adults, or between two users under 18, are not affected.
Birth years within three calendar years: The two of you may send friend requests and direct messages to each other normally.
Birth years more than three calendar years apart:
- Adults cannot send friend requests to users under 18.
- Users under 18 may send friend requests to adults, but must confirm the recipient is 18 or older before the request is sent.
- Direct messages between an adult and someone under 18 are blocked in both directions unless you are already accepted friends.
Browse
Adults cannot use age filters on Browse to search for users under 18.
Date of birth
Date of birth is set at signup and cannot be changed. A false date of birth to bypass these rules violates our Terms of Service and may lead to suspension.
