A Friendly Game
April 2, 2011
Hi, guys.
So, SpongeBob goes over to Patrick's house so they can play a game of golf. However, before their game can begin, it starts to rain. Patrick tries to tell the rain to stop, but he winds up getting struck by lightning and screams. While hearing the noise outside, Squidward opens his window and tells them to keep it at a low rumble. While it is raining outside, SpongeBob and Patrick decide to build a golf course in SpongeBob's house. While they are building, the noise wakes Squidward up. Squidward tells SpongeBob and Patrick to not make any more noise "Or else." Patrick does everything he can to distract SpongeBob and make him lose. SpongeBob and Patrick's golf balls smash through SpongeBob's window after they hit them too hard and land right in Squidward's window.
SpongeBob decides to end the game, but Patrick ignores him and enters Squidward's house to look for his ball. While searching, Patrick stops to rummage through Squidward's fridge and eats most of his food including some kelp salad, only to discover he has also eaten SpongeBob's ball, which was hiding in it. SpongeBob offers to get the ball out, but he declines and tells Patrick he has to "play the ball where it lands." After hitting his ball out of Patrick's body, Patrick finds his ball stuck in his bum, SpongeBob reminds him again that he must "play it where it lands." Patrick gets a hole in one and SpongeBob tells him he could do it blindfolded, so Patrick hands him a blindfold. Patrick helps SpongeBob find his ball by playing hot or cold, but since SpongeBob cannot see, he accidentally breaks Squidward's furniture and paintings. It turns out Patrick also took a shower in Squidward's bathroom while accidentally giving SpongeBob bad directions. Finally annoyed with Patrick's laziness, SpongeBob drags him out and they go off to search the house.
They soon find both balls have landed in Squidward's room, Patrick's golf ball is on Squidward's head and SpongeBob's golf ball is in his mouth. Just as they are about to hit their balls, Squidward wakes up and screams as SpongeBob hits his golf ball out along with Squidward's dentures. SpongeBob and Patrick both get a hole in one and leave Squidward's house, planning to have a rematch next Saturday. The episode ends with Squidward's house collapsing and falling apart to the ground, while crushing him.
But we don't stop there, because Zoo visitors are becoming less impressed with the Penguins' repetitive "Cute and Cuddly" display, and there's less fish being thrown as a result.
Kowalski creates a machine called "The Adorablizer" to gauge cuteness, and tests it on Rico. When he demonstrates a distinct fail at any kind of cute, Skipper turns it on Private, who is incredibly cute just by nature. And when he really puts it on, he reaches a cuteness level of 132 percent, discovering a “Quantum Hypercute” that destroys the Adorablizer.
At first Skipper thinks it should only be used for emergencies, but the crew begins using it for every little thing, including attracting zoo visitors, distracting Alice, stopping the rats from stealing Bada and Bing’s bananas, making Mama Duck’s ducklings fall asleep, and knocking out random visitors they encounter.
King Julien, meanwhile, notices what the penguins are up to and believes that they’ve learned magic and tries to “learn” it. Skipper promptly has Private use the Hypercute on the lemur, knocking him out when they catch him spying on them.
Eventually, King Julien believes that he’s figured out the Penguins’ “magic” as he makes Mort make his own attempts at using the Hypercute. Skipper, in turn, tries to have Private use his Hypercute again, but the younger penguin refuses to employ his power after having seen his friends abuse it too many times.
The penguins are then caught outside their habitat and caged by Alice while Skipper tries to get Private to use his Hypercute. But Private continues to resist using his cuteness as a weapon, even when the team is scheduled to be shipped to Copenhagen, Denmark, as Skipper once again insists that he cannot go back there. When Private tries to flee, the others chase after him by rolling their cages about like hamster balls, which zoo visitors find incredibly cute.
In response to the visitors' protests, Alice lets the penguins stay in New York, and Rico seems to have finally found a way to be cute, since he is still rolling around in the cage. Skipper, meanwhile, swears to Private that they will never abuse his Quantum Hypercute again, which the young penguin agrees to.
Meanwhile, Mort is still trying to use the Hypercute for King Julien and Maurice, but all his straining only results in him farting.
But we're not done yet, because Cilan and Iris have a match between Pansage and Axew; Pansage is told to hold back until Axew uses a powerful Dragon Rage, which keeps coming out as a "Dragon Sneeze". Elsewhere, Team Rocket is briefed on a meteor that had fallen in the Unova region, creating its current appearance. Iris tells the others how she was given Axew by an elder in her hometown. Unknown to them, Axew has gotten stuck in the antennae of a Scolipede, causing the Scolipede to rampage. When Pikachu helps track down the Scolipede, Iris sends out her Excadrill to fight the Scolipede, but Excadrill does not obey her at first, remaining in inactive mode. When they finally free Axew, Excadrill finally decides to fight the Scolipede, sending it away flying. It lets out a victory cry before clattering back into inactive mode. Elsewhere, Team Rocket meets up with their local Unova contact, Pierce.
But it's not over yet, because a safety expert makes the sidekicks to wear safety suits, which ends up immobilizing them. The safety expert is actually XOX, who seeks to control Maxum Mutt. When a substitute teacher locks down the school in a attempt to improve the kids grades, Pampelmoose and Eric must work together to escape from her when she launches the school in space!
But there's still more to come, because while trying to find out how to revive Octus and trying to escape a rampaging horned Mutraddi, as well as General Steel, both Ilana and Lance are on the run with Octus' core. Getting back flashes of the rampaging Mutraddi, it shows how the two are nothing without Octus and can’t defeat a creature of its size. Ilana and her Corus armor are easily defeated. She’s sent crashing through a building and her armor shutting off afterward. Moments away from her death, Lance in his Manus armor flies in and rescues her. They both fly away from the city, Lance telling Ilana that they have no chance. Coming out of the flashback, we see that they have traveled many miles away from Sherman, taking coach buses and trains to be out of reach from the Mutraddi and any other enemies who could follow them.
Lance and Ilana make pitstops at many hotels and continue to travel cross-country. They both walk through rain and even try to hitch rides.
At present, residing at a seedy hotel, Ilana walks out of a nearby grocery store, checking behind her constantly to make sure they aren't followed. Entering their room, Lance and Ilana talk on how difficult it is to bring back Octus and Ilana says that they should've stayed with G3, but Lance replies that every time they stay with G3, trouble comes along. Along the way, the two even get closer and put smiles upon each other's faces although times are tough, as Lance grows continually frustrated at his failed attempts to reactivate Octus.
Staying up all hours of the night, Lance wakes up Ilana showing her that tapping into the hotel's electrical relay just might have enough power to charge Octus's core and bring him back. Quickly joy-killed, all the power in the area shuts off after the attempt and the two run once again and stop at a motor inn.
Watching the news, it shows that the monster is still attacking and that military force can’t stop it. Ilana and Lance both grieve about the trouble being their fault from not being there to stop it. Suddenly, a giant robot is announced to have reached the scene. The two are shocked and watch to only reveal a giant robot made by General Steel and the military called the H.M.E.R. (pronounced Hammer). It easily defeats the large creature with a special attack.
Lance watches the fight and notices a massive energy core. He assumes that with the robot's energy core, it could be large enough to jumpstart Octus.
They go to an internet cafe to find out the location of Steel's military base. Lance is dismayed at how easily the military gives away the location of its bases. Staying in there all hours of the day, they finally find out where they need to go. The plan is to break in and steal the power source for Octus to be revived. Back to G3, Solomon is appalled to see that General Steel has created a robot. A G3 soldier shows Solomon the information they came across of Lance and Ilana looking up Steel's location. In quick action, Solomon gets his ships and men ready in case anything goes out of hand.
Reaching the military base, Lance and Ilana sneak in and disguise themselves to impersonate guards. But they were caught on camera. General Steel gets a call hearing about their break in. He gets his army ready for battle. Lance and Ilana sneak in through coded doors by swiping a soldier's card and make it inside. Lance touches the H.M.E.R. and can tell by the material that it’s Mutraddi. Leaving that subject for later, the two are terribly close to plugging Octus in, but sadly they’re ambushed. As the troops distract them with regular firearms, they both activate their armor and protect themselves. What they don't know is that Steel is on the side getting the H.M.E.R. prepped. They both flee from the base, but are chased. Since the firepower and weaponry is now at a greater scale, this makes it harder for them to protect themselves. They’re both thrown off balance and crash into the ground. Being shot at, Ilana's Corus forms an electrostatic shield once more to protect themselves, but it's harder for her to do.
Not knowing that the soldiers inside are equipping large missiles, Ilana is unaware of their next attack. To her surprise, the H.M.E.R. uses its special attack unto the shield, causing to overwhelm the shield. The Corus armor is shut off and Lance deactivates his Manus to run to her rescue. He holds her in his arms only waiting for the H.M.E.R.'s final blow, but thankfully they’re saved by G3. They attack the H.M.E.R. and once Ilana and Lance come on board, they jet away from the battle field. Thanked continuously, Solomon asks what they were doing in the military base. Lance explains the situation to him, and is told by Solomon that they’ll speak about this another time and they are safe with G3.
At the end of the episode, it shows Steel stand on top of H.M.E.R. saying that he'll catch Sym-Bionic Titan and G3. He orders his men readied, his jets fueled up, and the H.M.E.R re-armed. He's going to war.
And finally, in a Roadhouse cafe, the leader of the Spankers motorcycle gang is putting the moves on a woman at the bar, when he is told to step away by a green skinned stranger. Odnarb and the Wild Brood want the Spankers to leave. A fight ensues; the Spankers leave hurriedly and Odnarb tells the bartender that the Brood is heading down the coast to Crystal Cove for a little rest and relaxation.
The Tiki Tub has been rebuilt after it was destroyed by the Humungonauts. Fred has brought Daphne there for their second date since, as his dad owns the place, they get free refills. Daphne isn't pleased that Fred invited Velma, Shaggy and Scooby along too. The Brood arrive, but Sheriff Stone informs them that no monsters are allowed in public areas unless tickets are being sold. Odnarb rejects the label, and says it is the citizens of Crystal Cove, not the Wild Brood, who are the true monsters. Daphne is attracted to his poetical phrasing, rejects Fred's indifference, and she and Velma leave with the Brood.
On the beach, Odnarb is playing the guitar for Daphne while Velma discusses the problem of having anti-malware software that can't save Shaggy - who she refers to as an idiot - from downloading viruses by clicking on the wrong banner ad with the Brood. When one of the bikes fails to start, Velma adjusts the timing to stop it misfiring, which impresses the orcs.
That night at the Crystal Cove Armory, a biker climbs over the gate, disables the security system, breaks in and steals a rocket launcher. As he leaves, he drops a piece of paper.
The next morning, Daphne wakes to find Sheriff Stone and the gang in her bedroom. He knows that it was the monster bikers who were responsible for the break in, even though Daphne and Velma say they were with them all the time. At the Armory, Velma watches the security footage from the garage across the road. An orc in biker gear jumps the gate at the same time as the Brood were on the beach, and boot prints lead to a napkin from Chen's Internet Cafe and Tea House in Chinatown.
In Chen's, the gang are questioning the Brood about the break in when a message from Mr. E appears on all the computer screens: a dancing fish with a sword nose. Velma accesses the IP address she found on the napkin and uses "swordfish" as a password to access the mainframe, but she is abducted by a shadowy figure. Scooby discovers the Shadowy Orc standing in a doorway. The gang deduce the clue is swordnose and try to tell Velma but realize that she and Scooby are gone.
Scooby is hanging over the cliff on a rope. The Shadowy Orc tells Velma that unless she helps him reroute a train through Crystal Cove, he'll drop the dog. Despite having an opportunity to remove her rival for Shaggy's affections, Velma hacks the national train database and reroutes the train. The Orc pushes Velma off the cliff; Scooby catches her; the tree he's tied to breaks; they fall onto a branch which bounces them back to the cliff top.
Arriving back at the Police Department, Velma and Scooby meet Daphne, Shaggy and Fred and find that Sheriff Stone has arrested the Brood. They reveal that Swordfish is a secret new video game platform that is being shipped on a train for the unveiling and that they are the programmers, who dress up as orcs to be free of their real life as computer geeks.
The Mystery Machine and the bikers jump onto the moving train and find the Shadowy Orc is already aboard. The Orc climbs onto the roof of the train and uses the rocket launcher to destroy a bridge on the track ahead. Fred and Odnarb fight with the Orc; Velma tells Foog to pull the brake level, but it breaks off in his hands. Everybody moves back to the wagon; they decouple the engine and Fred and Odnarb apply the brake. The engine plunges into the ravine, but the wagon stops just in time.
The Shadowy Orc is revealed to be Maxwell, who works in the copy room at the Wild Brood's gaming company. He was never allowed to join in the beta testing of their video games, so he made a Wild Brood costume of his own and planned to wreck the Swordfish console out of revenge.
After Sheriff Stone takes Maxwell to jail, Daphne chooses Fred over Odnarb, something he accepts as he and his gang ride away, while Fred celebrates.
