A random guy asked me to be his girlfriend without knowing me

I HATE WHEN PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.Now,yes a random guy(from another classroom) asked me to be his girlfriend but he never talked to me and neither did i.This happened in school one year ago,i was with my friends talking,he passes by with his classroom,and then he whispered to me “Do you want to be my girlfriend” all the eyes on me.I was panicking like wtf who are you,i knew someone liked me in school but i didn’t liked the thought of someone thinking he had a chance with me when he never talked to me or knew me,just imagine being me in that moment and have all the eyes on you like that,that was hell.Everyone looked at me in that moment,his classmates laughing and smiling looking at us,i was dying as a person with anxiety(now im ok i don’t have it anymore lol) literally,if you want to date a person you have to knew who they are..XD Then the teacher asked what was going on,i was dying of embarrassment.It ended with me not responding because what should i have said or done?What do y’all think??I made the right choice???:( 

(i swear i didn’t want to hurt him just i wasn’t interested+i didnt want to date anyone at the moment and it made me feel uncomfortable and strange) ;(
