Complaint number one. I can’t stand it when somebody teaches me something and then doesn’t act on their own information. It drives me absolutely crazy. Why don’t you act on what you just told me?
An example, somebody knows a lot about bats. I mean, dude, they have a master’s degree in biology, and their research is focused on bats. That’s their core competency. They tell me about histoplasmosis, this fungal infection you can get from breathing in spores associated with bat droppings. That’s crazy. Then they want me to go to a cave and watch all the bats fly out, where the probability of getting pooped on is, I don’t know, 87 percent. I made that number up, but you get what I’m saying. You just told me about the fungal infection. Now we’re going to the cave? I don’t get it.
Hanging out with very educated people is crazy. They tell you the craziest stuff. They tell you all these things about the government and history because they have history degrees. They know. It’s their core competency. They’re telling you the government is nuts, can’t be trusted, and they’ve got examples after examples. Historical stuff, modern stuff, horrific tragedies, the destruction they unleash on people. Whole cities and towns.
Then they want me to talk shit to the leadership. Dude, you just showed me that the leadership destroys whole cities, and now you want me to talk shit to them? I don’t know, man. That seems nonsensical.
You can’t tell me there’s a venomous spider in the cave and then go into the cave to hang out with the spider. “It’s all good.” It’s not all good. It’s venomous. What’s happening? I don’t know. You went in there with the murderers, with the people you described as the most corrupt people on the planet. That’s what you told me. Now you’re coming out wondering what happened. Dude, they’re the most corrupt people on the planet.
Here’s the deal. Number one, get access to a lawyer. Looks like a basic legal plan runs somewhere around thirty or forty bucks a month. If you need more representation than it covers, that costs extra. But at least you have something. You have somebody to call.
Then work on your security. You have access to representation, next, get your security under control. If you don’t want to carry a pistol, don’t. You can get a dog. You can look into nonlethal options. Something lawful that you know how to use, so if somebody tries to get you, you have some way to defend yourself. That’s it. Put some thought into protecting yourself.
Dude, once you have your security under control and somebody to call for legal advice, you will have some breathing room to act. You don’t have to turn everything into a political question. Your whole life isn't politics your whole life is your own life. If you’re waiting around for the government to give you permission to live, stop. Start doing what you can do now. Get advice. Protect yourself. Act how you want.
Really, you’re going to sit on your hands waiting for the government to give you permission one way or the other? Asking? Asking the government? No, Dude. No, no, no. This is nuts.
Complaint number two, just act. Sitting around waiting for your boat to come in with all your treasures? It’s not coming just because you’re waiting. Go work. Do something.
And you’re going to wait for the government to pass something before you live your life? You’re going to put everything on hold until they say you can?
Don't just sit there waiting? Nope. No. Don't. Act! Clearly, Don't break the law. But don’t assume you are. Find out what the law is.
