A time called you (2023)

Finally, after some time, I'm back. I just had a few personal issues that I’ve now managed to get past.

I can finally talk about this series. Honestly, when I watched the first episode, I didn’t think it could be that good, but it’s really addictive and totally worth it. When it made me empathize from the very first second, I knew right then that this would be my series, though I doubted it later because it was a bit slow and not that fun, until you get to the middle and it’s crazy, it made me love it instantly, at first sight.

It's not just a series about time travel and mystery. At its core, it's a story about love, loss, and the connection between two people who seem destined to meet again and again.

From the beginning, we see Jun-hee trying to move on after the death of her boyfriend. The pain she feels is so great that it shapes all her decisions. When she travels to the past and meets someone identical to him, the series makes us ask ourselves one question right then: Can Jun-hee love someone again just because they look like someone we've lost, or is there truly a special connection?

As the story progresses, the relationship between the main characters stops being based on physical resemblance and starts forming through shared experiences, trust, and mutual support. What makes their romance special is that it's not a perfect love, but a bond that faces obstacles, doubts, and constant sacrifices.

The series also plays with the idea of destiny. Despite changes in time, the characters seem to be connected by an invisible thread that brings them together again and again. This makes the romance feel deeper because it doesn’t rely solely on circumstances, but on an emotional connection that transcends the years.

One of the most moving aspects is how both are willing to give up their own desires to protect the other. Love in A time called you isn’t shown as selfish or idealized, but as a kind of courage that involves understanding, patience, and sometimes letting go.

That’s why, more than a time-travel story, the series ends up being a reflection on what really remains when time shifts. Memories may fade, timelines may change, and lives may take different paths, but the feeling that binds the protagonists finds a way to survive.

In the end, A time called you, leave the message that some people come into our lives to completely transform them, and that there are loves that, no matter when or where they happen, always seem to find their way back.
