Recently I started a dark souls 3 multi ng run, where I play each ng cycle with one of the 3 weapons of the Twin Princes
Basically I started the 1st run by using Cheat Engine to summon Lothric's Holy Sword, then killed the crippled duo for Lorian's Greatsword in this current cycle (ng+) and, after all of that, combine them for the Twin Princes' Greatsword (ng++)
Now... using Lothric's Holy Sword was an experience... like shoving a big nail in your dick hole
IT WAS PAINFUL
First of all, lemme adress the cool factors
LHS looks dope as shit, being literally a platinum magical big ass needle and it's (fun fact, I think) the only straight sword in the entire game that sits on your back when you equip another weapon from the opposite slot, whereas most SS sit on your rip/left part of the hip
Second of all, the weapon art is pretty cool, having both a basic light stance (good for guard breaks) and a LIGHTING BEAM for the heavy attack. Both attacks can be combo'ed, and the "sacred light" as it's called in game can deal more damage if you're close to the enemies, plus finishing off a boss with that stance combo adds to the cool factor
and finally, THRUST DAMAGE (good if yk how to counter attack)
but for all of its coolness, it's... dissapointing
LHS has... kinda poor scalings, with a C in dexterity, D in strenght and E in faith, based on needed stats it's just a LKS with extra steps, and also, despite having a 14 FTH requirement, the scaling off it is dogshit at best
despite being named "Holy" and being stated in the weapon's description that this sword was imbued with potent magic by Priestess Emma, it's NOT holy. Not only that it deals exclusively physical damage with no other elemental damage on the side, it doesn't have the "holy modifier", where u deal extra 20% dmg to skeletons and keep the ones with white eyes from resurrecting
and for the final nail in the coffin, it's also obtained insanely late in the game and it cannot be buffed by any means, since it's a boss weapon. The latter, combined with the already poor damage scaling, with around 196 base dmg and a max 209 dmg from scaling (at 50 str/dex and 60 fth), it can get almost outclassed by all straight swords
so overall, the frail bastard's heretical overgrown poking needle is kinda dissapointing as a boss weapon, being imo in the same category as dancer's swords, the crystal sage's rapier and the arstor spear
this sword's only attribute is to make the TP Greatsword and nothing more
