any tips ?

i rlly wanna get into baking now ! theres a really cute boy in my bio class and he likes to bake !  ive heard him talk abt baking brownies and cupcakes and all these other sweet treats ... but i barely even know how to make a simple meal (┬┬﹏┬┬) !!!!! 

ive recently baked some lemon cupcakes with chocolate frosting, and also some cornbread cupcakes (?), and they all turned out fine ! but i just want to explore more and get a new skill ! (they were baked from boxes ＞︿＜ www) and ive made brownies and some cinnamon cake before 

i want to make fluffy pancakes, cookies from scratch, and even tamagoyaki next (but i have no nori ! ) 

how do you get into baking ? what ways should i start exploring ? what are good beginner baking sweets i should try making?  should i pursue him ?
