Basically, I'm struggling to convince my friends to join this website without sounding like a beggar and I certainly don't want to force them to join either. I was originally gonna tell my friends to join SpaceHey instead, but it's now blocked in the country we live in and I thought they might prefer this web because of the community and the playlists.
What about you guys? Are any of you trying to convince people to join this website?

If you want people to join, you gotta do you best to post cool interesting and or useful things and be a part of the community. That's much more strong of a draw for people than anything else imo.
Getting the ball rolling is usually hard for a lot of sites in the beginning. There are definitely some barriers to entry and friction with joining any myspace clone app or things like FR. But thankfully things are getting way better here every day! :D
Def3ct is a great admin, and a super fast developer so it will get even easier to get started here soon.
