Assigned seats

So me and my siblings always have assigned seats, and in the car, I sit on the right behind the driver, but when traveling like rn, the driver's side is on the left, am I supposed to still sit behind the driver or and I supposed to stay on the right? I've been staying on the right, mostly, when we went shopping a few days ago with grandparents, we switched cars after every shop, two kids and one grandparent in each, and I just sat on which side I was already walking to, sometimes left sometimes right, sometimes with grandpa, sometimes with grandma, anyway, so people with assigned seats in cars, do you switch when in a country that drives on the opposite side?
