"At least I'm not using A.I."

This is just my personal account of how this thought has affected my productivity lol.

Whenever I feel lazy or simply unmotivated to do like.. anything, I tend to encourage myself with the thoughts like these:  "Well, at least I'm not using A.I. to do my schoolwork like my classmates," "Well, at least I'm not talking to ChatGPT," "Well, at least I don't look at the A.I. overview that automatically pops up whenever you search something (I hate that little bitch)."

OBVIOUSLY I use these as excuses whenever I want to rest instead of doing my homework, but I've been thinking recently that this thought really just reduces my standard of productivity. I have been pacing myself to do my schoolwork on time, so instead of putting my heart into my work, especially English essays and such, I just want to get it done. Sometimes I use extremely minimal answers, and other times I just watch TV and think that I'm being more productive than people who use AI for their work, which IS KINDA true, but also KINDA NOT? I'm still sitting on my tail and I give the most basic answers known to mankind. I suppose I am more heartfelt when writing essays and poems and such because writing is very important to me, but sometimes I'm just so stumped.

I don't have the same creative mind I had last year, but at the same time my mind is more at ease than it was last year, which is ANOTHER reason why I'm more unproductive. Since my mind was VERY allover the place last year, I try to not think as much as I used to (which is pretty reasonable considering my past mind.)

Anyways, now I feel compelled to actually start my rough draft about the graphic novel version of The Odyssey...

It's crazy that some ppl will genuinely be happier if u do something with AI than not do it at all. Hurts my soul
