Does anybody else watch/listen to something until you see a younger, simpler version of yourself in the naive main character with the happy ending? Have you stared into the mirror of the screen to find your own soul in a different body staring at you, from a world where you get what you want in the end? Or maybe they're looking at you, because that character knows they're going to die and the complex bastard on the other side of the glass gets to live even a little longer than they do. Who are you to them? Do they look into the movie of a piece of your life and envy you the same as you envy them?
Do they sit in the dark of their space and stare through the screen at your tortured youth, and hold your now hidden inner child just as close to their heart as they hold themselves? Or can they see your future written in the static, and they envy the fact you eventually overcome your agony, even if somewhat? Or do they see you now, both muted through the glass, only able to share a delusional hope that you are real before scoffing and looking away from the camera, because the thought of somebody who could understand sounds entirely ridiculous?

anyway I'm gonna go eyelid time now. I have no idea if that made sense and I'm not looking over the rough draft lmao

Kudos: 5
