Despite labelling myself as bisexual, I have such a strong preference for men that I'm not entirely sure I'm actually bi. I've been out as bi since probably 6th grade, and now as a freshman in college, I think I may have been wrong.
The issue is that I like women, just never to the extent that I like men. Though rare, I do get crushes on girls, and I know I find them extremely attractive. It's just that I've never felt so strongly about a girl that it's comparable to how strongly I've felt about a guy.
I've only been with men in a romantic/sexual context, so my lack of experience with women is something that makes it even more confusing. I've been with men, and I know I like men. I've never been with a woman, how do I know I don't like them?
There's this lesbian I hang out with a lot, and I think I like her romantically? She's really beautiful, thoughtful, and sweet, and I think she's into me too, but my feelings for her aren't very strong.
There's a guy in my friend group that I'm kind of into as well. For him, it feels so natural to be attracted to him. I have to put effort into not having feelings for him because I don't want anyone to know. If I'm not constantly putting effort into not wanting him, I go right back to wanting him.
With the lesbian, I'm realizing now that it's the opposite, I feel like I do have real feelings for her, but only when I put effort into it. If I'm not constantly putting effort into wanting her, I go back to not wanting her.
I think that's my answer, actually. I think I'm straight.
