bleached hair turned into pale red?

so i bleached my hair in preperation for dye, the last colour i dyed it was a really dark blue,its all washed out as far as i can tell,anyway,so i bleached it and as the title suggest my hair turned like a pale red in the parts i bleached,my hair is naturally a kinda dark brown,anyone know why this could've happened?

i have never dyed it red btw.
