Every year I somehow end up crawling back to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. No matter how many new games come out, nothing feels quite like wandering through snowy mountains while the music quietly plays in the background.
I don't even have to be doing quests. Sometimes I'll spend hours collecting ingredients, wandering through forests, decorating a home, or getting distracted by a cave I wasn't planning to explore. Somehow that's always the best part.
I love how Skyrim can be both an epic adventure and a relaxing escape. One minute you're fighting dragons, and the next you're sitting in an inn with a warm meal while listening to a bard sing by the fireplace. βοΈ
Whiterun will always feel like home, but there's something magical about walking through Solitude at night, exploring ancient ruins, or watching the northern lights from the top of a mountain.
My favorite part of Skyrim has always been the freedom. You can become anything you want a powerful mage, a fearless warrior, a sneaky thief, or even someone who just collects random flowers for hours. πΏ
