occultism and mysticism collide with abstract samples and hazy dreamcape synth pads - complete with boc's signature hazy breakbeats and vhs dissonance - to create this absolute masterpiece of an album that could very well have been forged deep within the bowels of hell itself
it is absolutely superb from start to finish
my favourite track, "all reason departs", samples a documentary featuring a recital of occultist aleister crowley, whose books and teachings would go onto inspire anton lavey and the satanic bible. with all that in mind, inferno is a sublime hauntology record, and a solid contender for goth album of the year
