Window Shopping

I spent the afternoon wandering around with no real plans. I stopped for coffee I didn't need, browsed a bookstore without buying anything, and watched everyone else seem like they had somewhere to be.

Maybe some days aren't meant to be exciting. Maybe they're just there to remind us to slow down.

And I couldn't help but wonder...

Do ordinary days become special because of where we go or because of who we wish was there with us?

I think windowshopping is really nice, too. In my perspective, things seem interesting until you realize you won’t be doing anything useful with them when you actually procure them. But because it’s nice to admire, it’s kinda like looking at a museum and appreciating the quality of it all.

Sailing around without a specific direction, to me it feels super refreshing TwT

I think ordinary days can be special in both ways. But it also depends on how you perceive it, of course… rule of thumb. Any ordinary day can be exciting enough if you find the beauty in the smallest things.
