i've noticed a huge number of people beginning to use words like "slop" "soulless" "spiritually [insert bad thing]" as a way to critique certain works. to me, that is not an exactly valid way to critique something. it is a valid form of expression of your emotions but it lacks substance needed for others to understand why you think a work is "soulless" or "slop"
i think, in general, if you want to critique something you have to be concrete and not vague with how you view a work. calling something the aforementioned insults is too vague for it to be a valid critique
