Cara Together Day 2: Cry

With this one, I want to give a timeline of events going on with Cara and the scraping incidents.

The first scrape occurred on August 14th by a user known as Heft. They proceeded to make a Reddit AMA about the situation on r/defendingaiart. Over 12 million pieces were scraped. However, Heft has since apologized and deleted the data. They are now working with Cara to prevent future attacks.

A second scrape occurred only one day later by a Hugging Face user and then a third time on August 23. These two other scrapings were clearly done to harm artists.

This has prompted the creator of Cara, zemotion, to seek legal action. She has started a gofundme to pay for lawyers, which as of today, has raised over $121,000 out of its $120,000 goal.
