Characters that remind me of my girlfriend

Girlfriend appreciation post!!!!! Cuz I love my girlfriend to bits!!!!!!!

1. Raven (Teen Titans)

Not to be the stereotypical "my goth girlfriend reminds me of Raven from Teen Titans" guy, but she genuinely IS just like Raven and NOT for the reason you expect. One of my favorite episodes in Teen Titans is Spellbound, which explores Raven's more "teenage struggles". She gets all sad when Beast Boy calls her interests weird and wonders if she really IS a weirdo. She just wants to find someone who sees that weird (loser) side of her and still loves her for who she truly is (which is the biggest girl loser of all time). She reminds me of my girlfriend cuz everyone perceives her as this dark, mysterious scary girl who could ruin your life when she's really just a weird sweetheart who loves her friends dearly. (And I just think it's fitting cuz Raven was my "gay awakening")

2. Wednesday Addams (Netflix Adaptation)

Is this another stereotypical one? Yeah... BUT I will defend myself by saying my girlfriend isn't all that similar to Wednesday!!! She just reminds me of her cuz they look alike. If I could post a picture of her, you'd agree too!!!! My girlfriend is actually afraid of horror and gore, which is ironic for a goth girl who collects animal bones. And she's also the kindest (and silliest) soul I've ever met. I can't say the same for Wednesday Addams... But she still has this aura around her that both scares people and weirds them out, which I think is true for Wednesday as well. And I just love being the Enid to my girlfriend's Wednesday. If I wasn't around, who's going to annoy her by forcing her to do K-pop dances, making her wear colorful outfits and blasting trashy pop? Not to mention the constant blogging! ;P

3. Fluttershy

Fluttershy is just my girlfriend if she were a pony (minus all the pastel colors), cute, kind, shy, soft-spoken, friendly and has a ginormous heart for animals of all kinds. Hell, her final senior project for college was an initiative to help stray disabled cats. She has the patience of a saint and everyone close to her thinks so too. But she's secretly pretty sulky... And if you tick her off..... Well, don't tick her off... HAHAHA

4. Mimikyu

My girlfriend's favorite Pokemon!!!!!! She has like 50 different figures of this little guy. I think I find it so endearing that she loves this Pokemon so so much becuz she relates to it. Having to mask the weird side of her becuz she wants to make friends so bad OUGHDHGHFG JUST THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME SADDD MY BABY :((( Anyway... Just like the Mimikyu in the anime, she's extremely dedicated to the people she grows attached to even if it doesn't seem like it cuz she doesn't emote well. If I had to choose another Pokemon that reminds me of my girlfriend, it would definitely be Espurr. That One Think Per Sometimes look is soo my girlfriend 😭😭

5. Metal Sonic

Yeah, METAL SONIC. NOT SHADOW!!! METAL SONIC. I don't know much about the Sonic franchise, but my girlfriend is a huge fan and she LOVES Metal Sonic and I honestly kind of see it. She struggles to express her emotions and sometimes feels like a robot or - just like Mimikyu - pretends to be someone else in order to be loved and accepted. When I first learned about her favorite characters being similar to each other in that way, it made me feel so much closer to her and I'm glad she doesn't hide who she really is with me and our friends anymore. It fills me with so much joy to think that she now believes she can be loved completely as herself!!!

Donnie (TMNT): My girlfriend is also a huge TMNT fan. And her favorite turtle is Donnie. And they're both nerds. HUGE NERDS. That's it.

Nightshade Paolumu (Monster Hunter): My girlfriend is not a girl nor a boy she is a Creature and that creature is Nightshade Paolumu.

Shadowheart (Baldur's Gate 3): My beautiful princess with a disorder

There's probably so much more I'm forgetting so I might do a part 2 one day!!! (I say as an excuse to post more about my girlfriend...)
