I've watched the whole 4th season of Heroes back in 2020 on TV... LOVED IT! I've started to finally watch from season 1 and omgggg this show is so great. Although Claire is not my fav character, her season 1 personality portrays that fear of being alone, misunderstood and astranged from everybody else so well.
---> Her being misunderstood and lonely really reminds me of Donnie Darko. Both of them portray that teenage desperation of searching for someone that truly understands.
No matter how CRINGE or CORNY or EDGY or OVERDONE this characterization may seem, I feel like we all have/had this fear of being misunderstood to a point where you feel totally shut out from others. I will continue to love this characterization of hopelessness and searching for a place to belong.
