to be honest i shat my pants during Sinister (2012), Hereditary (2018) is up there too. i also recommend the classics like The Conjuring (2013) and Insidious (2010)! |

If you like psychological stuff, definitely go with the classic combo of The Thing (1982) and The Shining (1980). But, if you want to explore something new id recommend Saint Maud (2019) or go with a short film that you can find on Youtube, My House Walk-Through! |

It depends on what type of horror you want. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a good one and the remake isn't bad either. If you don't mind gore the Terrifier movies are rather good. I enjoyed Oculus, I'd watch it if you like things to be more psychological but still has classic horror tropes. If you want pure psychological horror the Night House or Vivarium are rather good.
