I just wanted to note that as a muslim, the oppression that the women in Afghanistan isn't even apart of the religion, it's just culture disguised as religious beliefs. same with the child marriages I fear..


there's something quite similar in Somalia, where they practice FGM, and if any female hasn't gone through the process, then she will be sl2t shamed, and is said to be 'undesirable', and wont get married. the harassment they face is heartbreaking..

I should also add that they also believe that it's all apart of the Quran, when it clearly isn't. I've read the entire Quran, and it doesn't say at ALL that any of these practices are permissible.

every religion has faced persecution at least once. its really sad learning about it.. 

sometimes when im traveling I see it in person..

it really is quite heartbreaking..
