It's a cult.    Very bad, no good.    You could probably find info online about them, like those people who are speedrunning getting inside.    It's best to stay away from the cult at all costs.

scientology is a cult that started in the 1950's by a sci fi writer named l. ron hubbard. if anyone, member or not, is even slightly critical of scientology you are deemed a "supressive person" and if you have scientologist family, they are to cut off any and all contact with you lest they too want to be labeled an "SP". they have a history of suing people for incredible amounts of money for "slandering scientology. 

scientology has a ranking system. members are required to buy books or courses, rather, if they want to "reach the highest level of enlightenment". these books/courses can cost thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars. many members go into bankruptcy because they believe by doing so, they are saving their immortal soul. 

there is another organization within scientology known as the "sea org". it's basically scientology's own navy. (which is wild, people would absolutely lose their shit if any other religion had it's own navy) for one to join the sea org, you have to sign a contract pledging your soul to them for a billion years. i am not joking.

scientology absolutely has blood on it's hands. there are multiple cases of people committing suicide due to the immense emotional stress of their loved one cutting them off because the person was critical of scientology and therefore considered a suppressive person by scientology, the member is forced to cut off anyone, even their own parents or their own children - unless they want to lose their "enlightenment"

essentially, l. ron hubbard was a failing sci fi writer and chose to make a religion out of the same type of stuff he would write in his books about.

btw, only people who get to operating thetan level 3 can learn about xenu's volcano holocaust and his soul vacuums in - they keep his lore on the downlow which means you gotta pay big bucks to get to that level in order to learn about alien warlord shit
