A lot of people that say science class or math class taught me
nothing are usually people who couldn't figure out how it applies to real life. Trigonometry? Seems useless right? Yeah in
class, when it's just stupid letters and numbers on the board that they
don't give you any rhyme or reason to. (So it's partly schools fault for
not giving us REASONS why math is important.) But being a Carpenter, construction worker, plumber, designing things around your house like a fireplace mantel, engineer, scientist, pool installer, solar panel installer, electrician, many many many other things geometry/trigonometry comes in clutch for. It's even good for logging and load calculations. e.g. will this super expensive rope really long snap on me and impale me if I pull the 150 year old tree at a certain angle. etc. Also good for inventions and making gadgets! |
