I was born in 2007 so I definitely missed most of it. I do remember using computers for as long as I can remember. I specifically remember purble place and the old windows drawing thing. Everything now lacks soul and personality. I think our generation could bring that back especially because we miss it. I think a big part of the problem is corporations wanting to be minimalist and deciding what we want for us. I've been watching old movies lately and they seem so calm and logical compared to a lot of newer slop movies. (There has been good movies recently I'm not talking about those) The mario Bros movie just felt way too overstimulating and nothing really felt important to the storyline other than rosalina and peach. I watch something like Alice in wonderland and all the characters are important and you have to pay attention to know what's going on. It's frustrating that people only cater to those with no attention span now. I miss depth.

i have the same opinion. i also think that growing up in a less modern place, a small town with people older than my parents, contributes to it. i got to experience a lot of what the world was like pre-21st century because we didn’t have the means to keep up. even those who might not have a true nostalgia or ever experienced that sort of thing first hand can definitely be entranced by it. growing up in such an artificial environment has to make one beg for something real.

exactly! i feel sad for these newer generations who will never get to experience any of it
