I'm also a Christian, an evangelical. I agree with you when you say they use the Bible as an excuse. Like, if you don't agree, just go on with your life. What others choose to live doesn't interfere with my life or anyone else's! |

I hate that it also makes us Christians look bad. We are supposed to love each other. Instead you see people all over just arguing. It's not supposed to be that way at all. You can tell someone when they are doing something wrong but don't discriminate or judge them. I am pretty sure there is a line in the Bible that says God is the judge. Not saying people can't be punished on earth for being vile, but that when people do sin it is not up to us. I don't really think that all sins are equally bad. Lying is 100% different from committing a crime like stealing or murder. Sure they can all = death but they are not on the same level. There are some things we just simply let God deal with. I wouldn't wish karma on anyone, but let God handle it. Pretty sure that is what the Bible means with that scripture, but it is just the way I see it. I think we as Christians should share our point of view of the Bible, to give others more perspective and understanding. Bible studies are pretty sick! |

ur so right!! another queer Christian here with a deep interest in theology—religion is literally all about interpretation. so many schools of thought and theory (like queer and feminist Christian theory) exist within institutionalized religion that people on the outside forget about. there’s an entire academic field of study surrounding religion for a reason! the misunderstandings suck but we know the truth that God loves us as we are and that’s what truly matters at the end of the day :) Exactly!! 💕💕 by 𝓴𝓲𝓻𝓪_𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓪𝔀𝓫𝓮𝓻𝓻𝔂; ; Report |

I agree with you! I'm atheist but at school I have a classmate who will just burge in my conversations with my friend whenever we are talking about anything queer and he'll start talking about how it's wrong according to his belief and therefore he must always and automatically be right and um... I'm not sure that's how it works. GENUINELY!!! T-T people like that make the religion look bad :/ some people just need to learn how to let other people live their own lives and have their own beliefs! by 𝓴𝓲𝓻𝓪_𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓪𝔀𝓫𝓮𝓻𝓻𝔂; ; Report |

Exactly. It is up to God to judge. We Christians should only welcome and love.
