Definitely watch Assassination Classroom! It was my first anime I watched, it's bittersweet and funny! :)

Hiii! I've watched a bit of anime so hopefuly I can help lol

for suggestions, it looks like you enjoy a bit of shoujo, and I'd recommend Kamisama Kiss for that! It's a sweet, 2? season anime with memorable characters IMO :) I also find it pretty similar to fruits basket in a way! 

Inuyasha is a funny, adventure show that is quite long.. if you're looking for something that you can put on in the backround with an understandable plot it's fun! But in my opinion it gets pretty repetitive as you go on. 

Those two are fantasy BTW, for more casual shows, I loved School Rumble! It's funny at times, and the cast is really fun to watch :3 But, like Inuyasha it gets quite repetitive.

If you're just looking for generally any anime, I'd say some that most fans have seen (and I loved) are:

Ouran High School Host Club! It's a bit outdated, but very iconic and good for learning some common anime tropes (beach episodes, different types of male love interests, etc) and the main character Haruhi Fujioka is really likeable and funny from what I gather :)

Maid-Sama! Unfortunately, like OHSHC, it's pretty outdated, and the male lead can be a bit weird at times. But overall, it's charming, with an okay cast and a great female lead.

Nana. This is more a mature show, and deals with some harsh topics while still being very cute! It's quite different from other animes, so if you want to see some other before you watch I get it.

Kaguya-Sama: Love is War. I actually haven't seen this all the way through, but it's a funny idea with an awesome theme song and funny/adorable characters, I can't say too much until I finish this, though!!

I'm not really huge into anime but I really enjoyed the Anime of "Virtua Fighter".
