it's better for preservation in general, the digital world is very fragile, more then the comic issues i own that existed since the 60sĀ |

The transition to digital seems like a selfish company move imo. With physical media, you can sell it for less when you don't want it anymore. You can pass it down to the next generation of your family if it doesn't corrode. And even if it does get unusable it's still yours. You have it and no company can knock at your door, asking you to return your metroid prime because your Xbox gamepass subscription expired.Ā You can use it as a decoration. Hug it when you're sad or bring it with you if it gives you comfort. Borrow it to half your friend circle and they all save money which companies obviously don't want. Bring to some presentation to show off an example.Ā When you lose one disc you lost the disc but you can find it back or buy it secondhand. You lose your account and EVERYTHING is gone. If your item gets broken, you can still keep it.Ā |

I don't know... nostalgia? Nintendo still does cartiridges today. I like to plug in my cartridge and play the game, you know? true I hope Nintendo doesn't take the Sony path by the_greenthunder; ; Report |
