Hello, welcome welcome! I get what you mean, everyone's got something to prove, an algorithm to chase. I tend to just do stuff because I feel like it, often jumping from hobby to hobby. Would it be nice if the stuff I do got noticed and I got my moment in the spotlight? Yeah sure, why not. But I can't see myself chasing it for the sake of it, it seems like... such a waste of time. Small things, like an extra upload here or there? That's fine. Going out of my way for the sake of it is just how things become soulless. I just do things that I like do and that's how I want to keep it, algorithms be damned.

my thoughts EXACTLY (also welcome, i just joined yesterday lolz). everybody these days lack individuality. they're exactly like each other, because the need to fit in these days due to social media is higher than ever. everybody desperately wants to be "cool", "fit in" and not be "cringe". if you look around, they're all wearing the same clothes, doing the same things, have the same social medias, vape the same flavor vape, have the same hair etc. i'm sick of it. and the people who refuse to change to fit in are considered "outcasts", "weirdos", "freaks" and get called slurs. judgement is also at an all time high. individuality is sooo important to society. everyone's the same these days and it's boring. and this is mostly due to social media. what kind of future are we creating? what kind of life are we creating? everybody's judging each other, dissing each other, hating each other, and we're doing nothing about it. social media has made it so easy to lose empathy for others. this generation is so unserious and in a BAD WAY. it's not even silly anymore, it's affecting kids. we're making fun of people who died (for example, oliver tree- comments such as "his life won't go on and on"). we're saying "womp womp" to people who have genuine, serious problems. people online are setting the standards for kids so ridiculously high and kids are changing themselves to be like them because they dont want to be made fun of. everybody's exactly like each other and that needs to change. we're devolving.
