About procrastinating--I have ADHD, so this is a big problem for me! I can't sit for a long time to do one thing without getting distracted or bored, so personally what helps me is I do things minute by minute. Twenty minutes on homework, twenty minute break for my brain to do whatever it wants to get the energy out, twenty more minutes of homework.

For socializing, I tend to compliment people a lot! It's a small thing but it definitely has helped me get out my shell and initiates small talk a lot. Or, on the first day I would just ask someone if they have the same class/classes as you.

I don't know if this'll be any help but last year i saw this video that said if u want to procrastinate less after you get an assignment you should write down ur name or something short and that'll trick your brain into wanting to go back and finish whatever work that is.

it worked for me last year and i'll definitely be doing it again this year but that was just me, though i'd still try it out.

for friends, while this sounds kind of cliche, i suggest joining clubs that interest you if your school offers them. i joined a lot of clubs and just kinda started talking to people about why they joined the club and similar interests and i actually made a few friends.

I'm not much of an expert either on procrastination, but what really helped me was like actually WANTING to do my work for a reason. So for example, I want to do my history homework because I want to learn more about the world and be a globally literate adult when I grow up, etc. Or it could even be a "silly" thing, like doing your English work for fanfiction.

Its kinda corny but its gotten me thru middle school.

Also, when im distracted on something and get a guilty feeling from not doing my work I literally just do it. Like i dont let myself negotiate any other options, its hard...
