the people who are saying that “7th grade” is the worst year of middle school, they’re not lying. But I’ll give some tips to survive 7th grade as an 8th grader.

1. Don’t procrastinate, this is an obvious one. Procrastination will do more harm than good.

2. If you have a test or quiz it is best to study atleast three days ahead (personally I would recommend using flash cards or active recall as a study method)

3. when making friends please choose wisely, don’t become friends with people who are going to leave you in 3 days (speaking from personal experience)

4. Don’t follow trends because everyone else in your school is. Just because you see that girl over there wearing lululemon and uggs doesn’t mean you also have to wear lululemon and uggs! Just be yourself.

5. Represent yourself in a good way.

6. Stay out of unnecessary drama and don’t spread negativity

7. This is later out in the year but if you’re picking out your eighth grade classes, pick out classes you actually want and not just classes you’re not interested in because you wanted to speed up the process.

8. Speaking of classes, if your school offers high school credit courses PLEASE take them.

9. Popularity doesn’t matter in middle school, because to be honest, it won’t even matter later in life. So don’t worry if you’re not popular

10. You don’t need a lot of social media in 7th grade, you might see some of your peers having Snapchat, Instagram and 40 additional social media apps. But trust me, you don’t really need them.

11. Just because you’re in 7th grade doesn’t give you the right to be mean to 6th graders, guide them, guide the newbies they need help navigating around the new school.

12. If your teachers offer extra credit do NOT hesitate to attempt extra credit, it may actually help you, especially if you have a low grade.

13. Bring an emergency kit.

14. If your school also offers clubs and sports do join those. They are a good way to make friends.

I really hope that these tips helped :) good luck in 7th grade

Honestly yes its hell. I just finished 7th and I feel a bit more than depressed. So uhh..actually focus on siding for tests. Mostly its either you slack off during class and study hard the day before or you constantly listen and remember in class since the test is pretty much everything they talk about in class
