I don't really believe in manifesting, I don't really like the idea of forcing something to happen just because you really want it to. In terms of goals manifesting isn't even relevant. Just go do whatever you need to do, if it's too hot outside go to a gym and walk on a treadmill. Sure you aren't getting that experience of being outside with wildlife, but it's still important to stay fit. Visualizing something has always made me feel like I don't wanna do it. Instead of doing that I just do it. Why visualize anything when you can just do? Do it right when you feel that urge and that inspiration. What better time than when you feel that motivation? The word manifest also has always given me an ick I can't really describe. You cannot just make something come true out of thin air. There isn't any logic to it. |
Yes, I understand your point of view. There are times when I might put something off, and instead of sitting there thinking it over and over again, I just switch off my brain and go on autopilot. That’s exactly what I try to tell my friend, that spending too much time in your own head does more harm than good in the long run, and that often the only way to break through a mental block is to just get moving and take action.
However, I can’t seem to adopt this mindset for larger, more complex projects.

Yeah I fall short of that too. Like I'm trying to write a story RN and I just kind of wrote whenever I want. I do feel like I should write more just because there are people interested in the story but the obligation makes it lose its magic. Therefore I just tell those people to wait. Gotta make those big projects fun, not work.
