You are correct about them pitting left vs right against each other. It's a purposeful strategy in the intelligence community similar to how wardens allow gang violence and racial gangs in prison. It stops the "prisoners" from forming together and taking out the gaurds/warden whom they greatly outnumber because they are too busy infighting. In this case it's a good thing, in the larger societal case, it's very likely still a good thing. I have come to be very lucky and have learned many great secrets of our world. One hard truth I have learned is that some truths must be kept as a burden to the few, and lies must be told to the masses or else systemic collapse is at risk. (This goes both ways, sometimes a secret can be so closely gaurded it dies out and only the lie/cover story pattern remains.) An example of this is how everyone was told eating carrots improved eyesight, via vitamin A. This whole thing was actually a lie from millitary intelligence in WWII as a cover story for the secret invention of RADAR. They couldn't let the Germans know how they were detecting their planes so early and were always ready to fight and scrambled in the air. So they made up lies like that to throw them off the trail. I see MANY of these lies circulating the public as we speak, but I mostly dare not speak of which ones they are because it would compromise the technolgies. (Some of which humanity itself is currently NOT ready to handle...) Other lies I'm only allowed to hint at involve Carbon Dioxide... Fun fact, school only used to go up to the 8th grade. So when you hear old stories about how mr successful so and so only had an 8th grade education! That just means they didn't go to college. I think rather than ridding school, it really just needs a massive overhaul. It was designed to optimize people to be little factory worker robots incapable of free thinking. They are constantly trained by pattern of giving questions and then answers, stiffling curiousity and self discovery (true learning, not memorization of patterns/obscure and irrelevant facts.) All very lucid points you have made. I have actually spent years of my life and over 100,000$ of my own money running experiments on people. Asking that question, are people naturally evil and self-interested? What conditions does it take to change that? I think to ACTUALLY fix the entire situation, it comes down to the perception that people have. What you very likely don't realize is that you yourself are actually causing corruption with this very post. An experiment was performed at a bus stop where there was tons of trash/liter. They ran a campaign to try to stop the trash and what they did was fill up a cavity/wall in the bus stop's glass with all the trash found at the bus stop and said "see how much trash is around this bus stop? STOP litering! Keep our streets clean!" What happened was that liter/trash at that bus stop skyrocketed many fold higher. What had actually happened was people thought "Oh it's normal to liter here! Everyone's doing it!" rather than "oh wow this is a real problem we need to fix." What actually worked and solved the problem was cleaning up all the garbage, then putting a young healthy smiling woman at the bus stop with a tagline something like "Good people don't liter!" So I think the ""clean up"" is going to involve effort and ENERGY on the public's part, we need to actually get involved locally and put pressure on our local decision makers like there is supposed to be in the first place to actually listen to us. Instead of just rolling out another 1000 flock cameras and two more data centers next door. Then doing a similar propaganda strategy on the politicians/public at large saying "Only good people remain in office" "If a poltician becomes corrupt they are swiftly crushed!" (Even if the later isn't true the psycho-social effect of it will manifest it to be so.) |

Wow, you spent $100,000 of your own money running experiments? Man, that’s pretty cool. My wife would never let me spend that much. I can only imagine what she’d say if I told her I dropped a hundred grand on research. I’d be nervous the whole time, just thinking, man, I really hope I get something useful out of this. Research is pretty cool.☮︎
