Involve yourself! Make the most of it!!!! Trust me,I'm the daughter of a pastor and that's the safest route, you're a teenager now. If there's a sunday class with younger kids ask to assist, show an effort, maybe join the choir if you're interested in that, ask the pastor if theres something you can do to help out in the church, try to be a good Samaritan and reach out to others in the church, let people know who you are, make sure your presence grows and you're always looking nice in the church, this can get you friends, make your parents think you're getting into it and actually like it. Over time it feels like you're apart of a community and even if most of them say stuff you disagree with on personal beliefs atleast you have stuff to do when you go,if your artsy you can make stuff like bracelets, sketches, just diy stuff and hand them out to people, also for extra cash if you wanted to around the winter time start making banana bread and Zucchini bread then you have church goers to sell it too (7$ each is recommended cause it makes people feel like its worth buying more than one loaf from my personal experience) think about the possible money and fun you may have from actually involving yourself, sometimes the community can be tons of fun to be around even when you're not religious, anyways may whoever you believe in bless you,or #hooray for science cause idk what to say to an atheist lol |
omg yeah if i do service hour stuff at least im getting stuff for my time thats actually so smart
