It's honestly really difficult to stop the habit of judging books by their covers. It's basically what you said is we see a book or movie before we learn anything substantial about it. Vision is one of the core principles of human judgement. Sure, sometimes gems are hidden behind awful covers. Which is always a pleasant surprise. But if I choose a book with a good cover I'm often not disappointed. |
