as someone who started stretching their ears around a year ago and is now at 00g/10mm, GOODLUCK!! the process should go super smoothly, as long as you don’t force or jam whatever materials you’re using into your earlobes too early lol. some people stretch up around 2-3 months each time, but i personally found that my ears had no problem adjusting to & healing in just one month, so i made sure to size up each month around the same day and hardly had any problems! just make sure to keep your ears clean (obv lol,) the plugs or whatever ur using clean, always stretch with jojoba oil, clean ur stretched lobes with saline spray (wound wash,) and if your stretched ears ever start hurting and oozing stuff along with it (gross, ik, but it’s a pretty common thing lmao) don’t worry, your lobes didn’t blow out !! 9 times out of 10, it’ll probably just be a small tear in your ear that got irritated and infected, which you can take care of by cleaning your lobes and the plugs you’ve got in them, putting the tiniest bit of neosporin around the lobe and sizing down to smaller plugs until the irritation goes away, then you can size back up.

it’s a long process as you know, and requires taking care of your lobes just as much as you would a fresh new piercing or something, but it’s so worth it!! i don’t regret stretching my ears one bit, and i plan on trying to stretch up to 16mm if i can. anyway, best of luck, and remember to take ur time! :)

OH, ALSO — if your lobes just ever start feeling itchy or irritated without anything oozing out, your plugs are probably irritating tf out of ur skin, so switch them immediately! my ears are super sensitive to even surgical steel (despite the fact that my lip ring is the same material & it’s been just fine lol) so i had to buy & start using glass plugs as soon as i could! it’s not guaranteed that that’ll happen to you, but, it’s nice to be aware of that sort of thing just in case.
