Wait I kinda have a idea but i think what helps for fasting is to focus on other things while not eating, like drinking a lot of water. And science proves that if you chew slowly when you do eat it helps you feel full faster. It takes about 20 minutes for the fullness cue to reach the brain.
The stomach is like a balloon, it expands as you add more. So by consciously taking more time to ground yourself and slow your bites, your portions will eventually get smaller.
It's not recomended to eat while watching videos or movies because you focus more on what is on the screen, making you avoid hunger cues.
Also you need to manage stress effectively, as lowering cortisol also lowers the added effect of eating sugary/salty foods.
As for the food it self, foods with a lot of protein, fiber and omega-3 fats fill you up faster. Now that doesn't mean you have to only stick to those things, just that they help stop over eating.
Also please take care of yourself, and know that although you might feel alone right now, that does not mean you'll feel that way for ever. Achieving a goal has a lot of steps that lead up to it. Even if you feel like you're doing nothing, you are achieving something.
