i fully admit that since having a phone in HS, it's been kinda second nature to be on it A LOT! but i picked up hobbies that revolve around creation such as making yt videos, blogs, magazines, etc. so im using the internet to feed my creativity. BUT i also learned that's not always enough! so i picked up hobbies that are exclusively related to creating things by my physical hands (i.e. crocheting) so i may have a video in the background but im learning and making something myself and my art can be shared with others and a community of people who find my hobby interesting or participate themselves! |

I've been really struggling with my screen time lately and I can tell it is negatively effecting me but I think the reason why is that I have no hobbies that I really engage with so I was wondering if people had any recs that are not expensive but still engaging. I would prefer it if these engage my brain in some way or require me to make something x |

true i struggled with my screen tie and im still fixing it, but i have hobbies like reading or journaling and more so even i get cofnused when people say they dont have hobbies like huhh |

People that have hobbies are usually busy with those hobbies, and it's easy to meet other people in those hobbies. If you ask people online what their hobbies are the portion of people you talk to whose hobby is just "being online and talking to people" is gonna be huge. ;P If you want to meet people with hobbies you go participate in that hobby itself usually, at least that's the best way to do it imo. |

most people prefer to take shortcuts to everything (hence the explosion of IA usage) and if they can get dopamine by using one finger to scroll all day instead of doing something that actually requires effort they will 100 percent prefer the easy way |
