Very insightful post! I will be turning 25 on the very last day of 2026 and also try to incorporate more 2000s things into my day-to-day life, so this post really spoke to me. I remember being so excited to grow up as a kid because of all the cool new technology at the time, but now that I am actually an adult, I can definitely say that this is not the same world.

Maybe it is the optimist in me, but I am very hopeful that more people will grow sick of modern life. I already am starting to see the early signs of it, especially since things like physical media and being offline are viewed as cool now. AI is also looked down on more and more instead of being praised like other big advances in technology were. Maybe someday we will live in a reality that is closer to the world we used to know. Only time will tell.
