The most important thing with horses is getting their temperament. AND ALSO NOT FALLING OFF LMAO
Horses with a saddle can't eat grass off the ground cuz they can develop a condition, so you always gotta lift them up and lead them away from plants. If a mare or stallion won't react to leg signals, you can smack their butt too XD
Also, don't squeeze the saddle with your legs, don't hold onto the saddle - if they start running or whatever, hold onto the mane or neck. Just sharing what they teach you in the basics, but it might be useful, who knows)
