First, dont try to choose something thinking that ur gonna have to do that thing for the rest of ur life, and if u make the wrong decision now u wont be able to go back. Like, u might have to choose smth now but it doesn't have to be ur only chance to choose smth yk. If u like music I'd say start some lessons if u can afford, learn the basics very well cuz theyre rlly important for composition🙏 networking is also really important so if u know any musicians, studio owners or other artists they'll help u a lot >___< u can start by taking part in other people's projects as well, so u can gain experience and learn new stuff, and also be known by more people, and also people might wanna invite u for their projects :3 im a drummer and I dont write music but i do participate on some of my friend's projects every now and then.. although I do it for fun, but its still a good way to start professionally too >__<

well, speaking personally, I took a very long time to decide my career path. I love arts, and some years ago i had high expectations about doing it in my future, but turns out I just like art as a hobby! I understand you might not have a lot of time to decide, but I think the key is to experiment! I can't talk about music as I don't know nothing about the area, technically speaking... but you should mess around, try a little to see how things work for you and then decide if it's what you want to do professionally
