honestly i’d say start with places where alt people naturally gather!! gigs, local music events, small concerts, record shops, art clubs, college societies etc. since you’re looking for irl friends, having a shared interest makes it SO much easier to actually start talking to people without it feeling forced. you could also try going to the same events regularly because seeing familiar faces makes it easier to build friendships over time. and don’t feel like you need to find a whole friend group immediately, sometimes you meet one person and slowly get introduced to their friends too. i really hope you find your people, you deserve to have that sense of community again <33
