I get this all the time, I think its a result of thinking a general idea and not in detail, sometimes I will even start the project and get bored later on, at some point i was making a video game in scratch and i just got bored of designing sprites cause painting with a track-pad sucks. and back on the general idea thing sometimes you can think of some idea but just not go into as much detail in thought as u think you have, its like how people associate familiarity with knowledge of things and knowing how it works, you have a base idea and believe you have more but you don't and sometimes you need to kickstart the idea and fill in the blanks to make it work.
