the novelty of being an adult wears off pretty quickly when you realize that you're a fish out of water and don't know anything about anything.

we're always "growing up". the moment you feel like you suddenly know everything you need to know you are really just gatekeeping yourself from gaining any further wisdom. don't ever do that.

if you feel like your fellow classmates have got their stuff together, they absolutely do not. unless they're stephen hawking.

I'm 29 and I feel like ever since I turned 20 I have been slowly mentally reverting back to being 10 years old. if the trend continues, I should be 0 years old in approximately 11 years and will then be able to witness my own birth.

there's not such thing like feeling like an adult, you will always be you. The thing is, that you will start to perceive things in other perspective as your problems will change to "worry about school" to "damn i can't loose this job".

Don't worry about that (as much as you do now, i used to worry about that a lot too), enjoy the present.

Growing up is incredibly uneven; sometimes you start taking "adult" actions, yet, deep down, you remain the same child. Being an adult is primarily about having a vast amount of life experience—experience that allows you to take life in stride and respond to situations more appropriately and quickly. And, of course, growing up is about taking responsibility. That said, it’s worth noting that a staggering number of adults aren't truly adults at all; they are infantile and incapable of taking responsibility for their own actions:confused:

Don't worry, dude. I think the feeling of being an adult—or an adolescent—is really more about how we start to perceive things with greater maturity, rather than fitting into the conventional ideas of how an adult "should" think—ideas imposed on us by a society that wants everyone to conform to a specific, idealized model of adulthood. Life is far too unpredictable to know for sure whether you’ll turn out to be a "good adult" down the road; it’s best to just let things flow and follow what your heart and mind tell you

It's a thing really interesting to think about anyway, cheers
