something we miss a lot is that this applies to mostly everything we see. most people are incapable of relative empathy for something they haven’t experienced. a person of wealth would not understand. a person of wealth who has live a very frugal lifestyle would not understand. you need to ‘be to see’ in many situations. some of these people you meet have clearly grown up in an upper class household and have been living as such, and as children I see that they are not to blame. the mindset has basically been forcibly indoctrinated into them and only when they mature can they be held responsible for their ignorance. will they ever fully understand if they keep their lifestyle? no. should they leave their lifestyle? also no. however as an intelligent species they should take it upon themselves to enlighten themselves. |
I just find if very difficult to understand since this isn't something like a chronic illness. maybe I'm just also a quite empathetic person since I never really find it hard to look at life from other peoples perspectives kinda; in fact I often ask myself how others experience life. it just occurs weirdly to me that they dont even seem to see other view points or stay completely ignorant to them
