i personally like both, i own both, but if you want a digital alternative without ads, download Winamp. its free, a bit complicated, but all you have to doo is add the audio files you want to listen to. i use it alot, its very good :3

CDs are great because you can put lots of music on them and they're a bit more durable. But cassettes have this nice magnetic tape "breathing" sound, which kind of makes it feel alive.

I'd like to make cassettes for my next record, but mainly just for my own interest ;D

i collect both CDs and cassettes, though i listen to my CDs more. almost all my cassettes used to be my dad's and they work fine after 20+ years, though i can definitely tell which ones he listened to most as those tend to distort/skip more often. walking around with my Walkman also gives more cool points lol 

i would still say i prefer CDs. longer life + better sound quality.

while I enjoy CD's for their sound qauity, I perfer cassets mainly due to the fact that I like going back in time, I actually perfer the casset to slowly rot instead of suddenly break like a CD, Theres just something speical about losing it, Like you loved it and it slowly faded away, Unlike CD's while great leave you suddenly when their well worn, plus I enjoy the static from the cassets, I enjoy when something feels from another time, Even when its brand new!
