I go through the same exact thing, to the point I will whimper from my brain forcing thoughts and memories on me that I don't want. I find distracting myself helps but to do so I'm often having to play music or videos so that my mind is focused on that instead. I'm not a doctor so what I'm about to say isn't advice, just explaining what I went through, but awhile back I was on antidepressants that also managed OCD symptoms like intrusive thoughts. While on them these bad thoughts and memories stopped completely for me. I don't know if I have OCD and I haven't talked to a doctor about it, I just figured bringing this up could be something to think about. |

The best advice I can give is to distract yourself and say what happened in the past stays in the past. What matters is if you learned from your mistakes or not |
