sorry your going through that! I've had that issue in the past as well, what I can say that your phone may be charging with apps in the background, if not it may be a battery issue (like being outdated) within the phone or a hardware issue. What I would do is limit the usage of your phone for bigger tasks, update your phone if needed and check your battery health which some phones have within your settings! If it is a hardware issue and nothing is working, I would recommend getting the battery replaced or getting a new phone. Most of the time it isn't your fault, it might be an outdated battery, a nearly dead battery or the phones hardware which you cant control so don't be afraid to inform your parents.
